Study of Physiology start with 1.5 years of 1st Phase with 340 hrs consisting of lectures 120 hrs; tutorials 120 hrs, and practicals 100 hrs.Moreove there will be integrated teaching for physiology for 30 hrs Integrated teaching on Anemia, Jaundice, Cyanosis, Lung Functions, Evaluation of Jerks, Diabetes Mellitus etc The whole course will be evaluated by 1st Professional Examination at the end of 1.5 years.


General Objectives:

To produce medical graduates to demonstrate knowledge and skill to proceed to higher studies and research in physiology in relation to needs and disease profile of the country.

Specific Objectives:

> Demonstrate basic knowledge on the normal functions of human body and apply it as a background for clinical subjects.

> Explain normal reaction to environment and homeostatic mechanism

> Interpret normal function with a view to differentiate from abnormal function.

> Demonstrate knowledge and skill for performing and interpreting Physiology experiment.

> Ddevelop knowledge and skill to produce to higher studies and research in Physiology in relation to need and disease profile of the country.

> Develop sound attitude for continuning self-education to improve efficiency and skill [including information technology(IT) skill] in physiology.Â
